TAMIYA

RE-CYCLING NEWS.

AIRFIX

After over two years of waiting we have given up all hope of Tamiya spray paints arriving back on the planet any day soon. So we have decided not to bother any more and replace them with Humbrol acrylic sprays. At least they are available. We will soon be adding a web page for them.

Hi, just a quick note to all you Eco-Warriors out there. All our packaging is re-cycled from goods delivered to our shop by our suppliers. This includes : cardboard boxes, bubblewrap, envelopes, airbags and polystyrene foam. We have not yet found a re-cycled parcel tape, but we live in hope.

If you are looking for British aircraft and British naval ships then our good friends Airfix are gaining a reputation for being the company of first choice. This is due to the large selection they offer and of course an increase in quality. Why not give them a try?.

Price Increases

Hornby seem to be having a problem with new items not arriving as scheduled (in fact seriously overdue). This appears to be due  to the fact that their factory in China went belly up and was bought by the company that owns Bachman. If you know different then let us know. Our supply company seems not to be doing Vampire, Werewolf or World of Darkness anymore. We are trying to get supplies from a different source, but am encountering some difficulty. Once new supplies are located we will let you know. There seems to be no halt in the relentless price increases on products produced in the far east ( which is 90% of them). However we will only apply increases to new stock (unlike some companies). Keeping a website like ours up to date is a big task, so there are plenty of bargains to be had.
